Statement of Faith

The Scriptures

I believe that the 39 Old and 27 New Testaments books in their entirety to be the verbally inspired Word of God, infallible, inerrant, and authoritative according to 2Timothy 3:16, “ All scriptures is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.” The Bible is the supreme and final authority in faith and life.

The True GOD

I believe in the triune God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, the sovereign Creator, the ruler of the universe. I believe that: Father, Son and Holy Ghost are co-eternal in being, co-identical in nature, and co-equal in power, glory, and perfection. I believe that Father Son, Holy Spirit are one according to I John 5:7, “ For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

The Fall of Man

I believe that Man was created in God’s own image without any sin according to Genesis1: 27, “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.” But man has voluntarily chosen to disobey the order of God. The immediate consequence was his fall and all humans have become sinners through him according to Romans 5:12.

The Way of Salvation

I believe that God purchased for us a finished salvation and this salvation is by grace (plus nothing and minus nothing) through faith according to Ephesians 2:8-9. I believe that the life God gives is eternal and everlasting and that we are sealed by the Holy Spirit. I John 1:12-13 say, “But as many as received him, to them gave the power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”

Repentance and Faith

I believe that the conditions of salvation are repentance and faith. I believe that man is justified by faith and accounted righteous before God only through the merit of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ according to Romans 10:9-13, “ That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt saved…. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Simply the sinner must believe on Jesus Christ as the one who bore his sin, died in his place, was buried and whom God resurrected. Jesus Christ, his powerful resurrection assures that the believer who receives him as his personal savior has everlasting life according to John 1:12.

The Local Church

I believe in the local church and pastor, and I believe that Christ is the Head of the Church, the Bible, the Rule Book and the Holy Ghost is the Administrator. I believe that the local church is the visible body of Christ composed of baptized believers associated by covenant in the faith and fellowship of the gospel according to Matthew 18:15-17. As a visible body of Christ we are responsible before God to observe the ordinances of Christ. I believe that the ordinances of the local church are believer’s baptism by immersion only and the Lord’s Supper.

Eternal Security

I believe that every believer has eternal security according to John 10:28-29, “ And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.” And II Corinthians 5:17 also say,” Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

The Return of Christ

I believe the “Blessed Hope” of our Lord’s return is literal, personal, visible, imminent, premillennial, and pretribulational.  He will rapture His Church prior to the seven years of tribulation, and the end of the tribulation, our Lord Jesus Christ will return with His saints to establish His glorious and literal kingdom over all nations for a thousand years. (Titus 2:13, I Thess.4:13-18, I Cor. 15:51-58; II Thess. 2:1-13,  Rev.19:11-16, 20:1-6)

Biblical Separation

I believe that all the saved person should live in such a manner as not to bring reproach upon our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The saved should separate himself from all religious apostasy, all worldly and sinful pleasures. (II Timothy 3:1-5; Romans 12:1-2; Romans16:17; I John 2:15-17, II Corinthians 6:14-7:1)

Lawsuits Between Believers

I believe that Christians are prohibited from bringing civil lawsuits against other Christians or the church to resolve personal disputes between members. I strong believe that the church possesses all the resources necessary to resolve personal dispute between members. However, I do believe it is right that a Christian may seek compensation for injuries from another Christian’s insurance company as long as the claim is pursued without malice or slander. (I Cor. 6:1-8; Eph. 4:31-32)
